While I retook grammar in college, what really helped was attempting to write a book (We were competing with friends.), then both fixing the grammar and using “published novelists” as examples. As such, through the enjoyment of story writing, but also editing, we/I saw grammar as a means of communication and punctuation as a means of helping. That was a huge eye-opener. As I see it, good grammar and punctuation is how we talk when communication is of higher importance 🙂
Yes, you are absolutely correct. Many people ignore Grammar in communication but for formal ccommunication,Grammar really adds value 💫
